A place of comfort and dignity for our elders, is facing a devastating financial crisis. Without immediate help, this cherished home may be forced to close its doors - leaving vulnerable residents without the safety, care, and respect they deserve. Frederic Place was founded in 1978 as a project of The Society of St Vincent De Paul (SSVdP) to meet the needs of Elderly and Destitute people in the vicinity. Rooted in Coronationville, Johannesburg, Frederic Place has offered safe, dignified care for nearly five decades.
A haven for the Aged and Destitute, it is one of the few homes in Johannesburg that provide residential care and aligned services to aged persons who cannot pay for or access essential services. Serving a total of 85 residents, including 20 in frail care, with +- 50 staff offering 24/7 Personal and Nursing Care, Medical Support, Social & Recreational programmes to name a few.
